As some run screaming from this page, let’s take a moment to Compare and Contrast the much-maligned Anarchy with its dominant competitors: Democracy, Tyranny, Fascism, Communism, Collectivism, Statism, all other –isms, –ocracies, -archies and vinyl siding*.
Kings, princes, politicians and petty tyrants in funny hats have sold the human race on the “great deal” their form of Government will provide: health, wealth, peace, security and happiness – with just a soupcon of Force thrown in to keep the “peace and security” part intact. And to enforce the laws. And promulgate regulations. And attend special interest. And chaperon personal agendas.
Societies on Planet Earth evolved in different places, all rather unique in geography and climate, and all with disparities of race, religion, and language. As the populations grew, they naturally expanded, and when one group finally bumped into another, communication was too difficult, thus the territorial nature of humans arose.
Barons and kings and emperors and all manner of tyrants evolved…
It is possible that circumstances may provide the opportunity to re-think our government system. If our economy definitely sinks as every knowledgeable person says it will, there is good reason to believe our government will fall by the wayside as well. If that happens, we will probably be either under martial law OR in a state of anarchy.
