No Government, No Force

Month: May 2014

No Citizen Safe Throughout the World

Untold millions of words have been spoken and/or written in articles, blogs and books about most everything. That’s all well and good, but there comes a time when the discussion is exhausted, and the time has come to make decisions and take appropriate Action, lest all that talk be wasted. It seems clear that Force is a lousy solution. As GOVERNment IS Force, let’s find a better way and Action!

No Citizen Safe Throughout the World

Throughout history humans have chosen (or more correctly, allowed) certain others to rule them. Of course we know of Genghis Kahn greatly expanding “his” territory, sacrificing the lives of many others, both of his conquests areas and of “his” own people (who of course did not belong to him). In the end, always these territories somehow became “countries” or “Nations” by the Decree of someone, and always the people within were “citizens” — whether subjects or slaves…. Bill Tatro: Nothing Is What it Should Be Anymore

Historically the stock market has always been a reflection of the face of the economy. The strength of jobs, production, ingenuity, and increasing wages has always shown up in a rising market. The assuredness of an educational system that produced a better tomorrow for its graduates and in so doing continued the cycle of household formations, home sales, children raised and communities strengthened by the knowledge that its tax base was alive and well. All of this was reflected in a stock market that was a part of the American way of life. Owning a piece of America by owning stock was not only good for the country but also good for investors.

There was a time that you bought a stock because the product was good, the management sound, the business plan made sense and the return on your investment could, over time, be better than average.

Dr. Hans-Hermann Hoppe on the Impracticality of One-World Government and the Failure of Western-Style Democracy

Daily Bell: If democracy has failed what would you put in its place? What is the ideal society? Anarcho-capitalism?

Dr. Hans-Hermann Hoppe: I prefer the term “private law society.” In a private law society every individual and institution is subject to one and the same set of laws. No public law granting privileges to specific persons or functions exists in this society. There is only private law (and private property), equally applicable to each and everyone.
