When Liberals Become Totalitarians and Republicans Become Toadies

It is what Israeli historian J. L. Talmon described as totalitarian democracy, a political system in which lawfully elected representatives rule a nation state whose citizens, although granted the right to vote, have little or no participation in the decision-making process of government.

Free People Claim Their Rights

[updated to correct video link] Michael Boldin’s Tenth Amendment Center has produced a new video which puts forth a more correct and relevant viewpoint about natural human rights versus the customary view that government somehow “owns” Rights and therefor can “decree and grant” human rights. He strikes at the root of distressingly common philosophical and practical error.
So spend a couple of minutes to watch this refreshing viewpoint!

America’s Poison of Choice

Barack Obama was right about one thing; it is time for a change. It’s time Americans change the way government abuses our rights and its time we stand together and take our government back. Today we can defeat Common Core; tomorrow, who knows – maybe we can pull out of the United Nations. Maybe I’m a dreamer, but America was founded on people who refused to surrender their dreams to tyrants. I’m betting there are still a few of those dreamers alive and well in America today. Time will tell. In the meantime, pick up that phone, write that letter, and send out that fax.

An Unhappy Summer for Liberty

Locally and nationally, we live under governments that prefer to rule rather than to serve, that choose not to tell us the truth but to keep it from us, and that have enacted laws that purport to make their behavior legal.

In 1949, when he wrote “1984,” Orwell predicted all this, including the secret torture, the perpetual warfare, the continuous spying and the fear of the government. His predictions were right on the mark — he was only mistaken by 30 years.

Twenty Questions About A Constitutional Convention

We totally agree that a Con-Con will only result in our tyrannical situation even worse.

In Vote2012, 98% of Americans failed to either notice or care that they were supporting collectivism under whatever sub-set you care to name.

This same bunch of bandits now control this GOVERNment, and we can be certain that they will also control any constitutional convention. It’s simply Bad to Worse!
